Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University is a leading educational institution in Thailand with academic strength in all aspects of science related to aquatic animals and fisheries. Our faculty consists of 5 departments (Department of Aquaculture, Marine Science, Fisheries Management, Fisheries Biology, and Fishery Products; and 5 research stations located in different regions of Thailand, including Kamphaeng Saen Fisheries Research Station (Nakhon Pathom), Klong Wan Fisheries Research Station (Prachuap Khiri Khan), Sriracha Fisheries Research Station (Chonburi), Samut Songkhram Fisheries Research Station (Samut Songkhram), and the Andaman Coastal Development Research Station (Ranong). We educate both undergraduate and graduate students and carry out research according to the expertise of each professor and researcher, i.e., aquaculture, aqua feed and nutrition, aquatic animal health, breeding and genetics, fishery resource management, oceanography, biodiversity, biotechnology, freshwater and marine ecosystems, water natural resource conservation, fishery products, post-harvest technology, aquatic food processing, functional food ingredient form marine resource and processing by-product, and science related to food from marine resources.
    Currently, we have over 100 researchers who publish at least 70-80 articles per year in the national and international journals, creating invaluable knowledge in the field of aquatic animals, fisheries, aquatic environment, and fishery products. Moreover, we collaborate with various domestic and international academic institutions, research institutions, government agencies such as the Department of Fisheries, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, private companies, aquatic processing plants, and local communities to apply the knowledge gained from the research into practical applications for the academic community, the society, the nation, and the world.
