The Faculty of Fisheries offers a four-year program with at least 138 credit-hours; one credit is equivalent to one hour of lecture or 2-3 hours of laboratory work per week, leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Fisheries, with majors in Aquaculture, Fishery Biology, Fishery Management, Fishery Products and Marine Science. High school graduates who have completed 12 years of primary and secondary school education or equivalent must pass the admission process as indicated in the Admission section aforementioned. Students accepted to the program must take General education courses during the first two years. In the subsequent years students must take the core and specialized courses according to their major fields. In addition to course work, students are required to demonstrate satisfactory performance during field practice and external activities of at least 200 and 100 hours, respectively, to complete the requirement for the B.S. degree.
